Às vésperas de estrear na China, 007 – Operação Skyfall atingiu US$ 1 bilhão de bilheteria no restante do mundo. O 23º filme de James Bond tem US$ 289,6 milhões domesticamente e US$ 710,6 milhões no mercado internacional.

Antes mesmo de cruzar a marca histórica, o título tinha quebrado recorde no Reino Unido. Agora pode ser considerado o filme mais bem-sucedido da franquia de espionagem.

Com a estreia no forte mercado chinês, em 21 de janeiro, o faturamento de Skyfall deve engrossar ainda mais.
