Por E acaba de chegar ao final a 65ª cerimônia de entrega do Emmy Awards, prêmio que é considerado o Oscar da televisão americana. A noite serviu para consagrar Breaking Bad e Modern Family como as principais séries em drama e comédia, respectivamente, mas também pulverizou bastante seus prêmios. Enquanto Modern Family conseguiu a façanha de conquistar o quarto prêmio em quatro temporadas, Breaking Bad foi, finalmente, agraciada com o prêmio principal da noite.
Entre os atores, Jeff Daniels e Jim Parsons levaram os prêmios principais por seus papéis em The Newsroom e The Big Bang Theory, enquanto com as mulheres a premiaçao ficou com Claire Daines e Julia Louis-Dreyfus, por suas atuações em Homeland e Veep.
Um dos grandes vencedores da noite foi o telefilme Behind The Candelabra, que conta a história do pianista Wladziu Valentino Liberace. O ator Michael Douglas ficou com o prêmio de Melhor Ator em Minissérie ou Telefilme, enquanto Steven Soderbergh ficou com o prêmio de direção. Além disso o longa levou o prêmio principal da categoria, sendo eleito a melhor produção entre as minisséries e filmes feitos diretamente para a TV.
